Russell Wilson is going cryptic again.

Following a criticism from Barstool’s Dan “Big Cat” Katz that compared Jalen Hurts to Wilson, the Giants backup quarterback responded on X Wednesday afternoon.

“Man… I gotta get back to Ballin’ & being Me. Back to my First 10. It’s time. Time to go Dark,” Wilson wrote.

Katz went on his rant Tuesday on “Wake Up Barstool” following the Eagles’ 22-19 loss to the Chargers that saw Hurts throw four interceptions, including one in overtime that clinched Philadelphia’s defeat.

Wilson quote-tweeted a post from a user that read, “2017-2020 Russell Wilson would be the best QB in the NFL if he played today.” The X user wrote that while reposting Big Cat’s take.

“Jalen Hurts is just a Russell Wilson 2.0,” the sports personality said. “That’s how I’ve thought about it for a while now where he is a very good quarterback, who needs a good defense and is also very corny. When he gets to the later part of his career, everyone is gonna be like, ‘Whoa, that guy is weird.’

“This is going to be interesting to see. If you look at Russell Wilson’s career arc, I kinda see the same thing coming from Jalen Hurts where it’s like you spend a lot of money on him… He might have a couple of years where he has to do a lot of it and he gets his throw, but is it winning football? I don’t know if it’s winning football.”

Co-host Nick Turani went on to add, “Is winning the Super Bowl the worst thing that could have happened to Jalen Hurts and Russell Wilson?”

Wilson was the starting quarterback in Seattle beginning in 2012 and went on to lead them to two Super Bowl appearances. He walked away with the Lombardi Trophy after topping the Broncos in February 2014.

Following a 7-10 season in 2021, Wilson was traded to the Broncos in the offseason.

Wilson had two mediocre seasons in Denver, in which he butted heads with coach Sean Payton in 2023, and was eventually benched and released.

Wilson found some success with the Steelers last year, when he helped them reach the playoffs, and then signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Giants in the offseason.

Wilson was benched after three games in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart and is now the emergency third-string QB behind Dart and Jameis Winston.

Like Wilson, Hurts now has one Super Bowl under his belt after blowing out the Chiefs for the championship title a year ago to end Kansas City’s chance for a three-peat.

The Eagles, though, haven’t been able to replicate that spark this season.

Philadelphia started off the season strong, going 6-2 heading into their bye in Week 9. However, following Monday’s loss, they have lost three straight games with their offense looking like a shell of itself.

Hurts, whose legs are his biggest threat, isn’t running often and when he does, there is some hesitation.

He has also had issues with star receiver AJ Brown, who said the team is a “s-t show” at one point.

It leaves the Eagles holding an 8-5 record at the top of the NFC East as the Cowboys (6-6-1), who have won three of their last four games, trail.
