He’s roasting her.

During Meghan Markle’s new Netflix Christmas special, now streaming, chestnuts weren’t the only things roasting on an open fire.

Her husband, Prince Harry, 41, appeared in “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration” for a Christmas Eve dinner a few weeks before the holiday, and had some cutting words for Markle.

Harry entered the kitchen and said, “I smell gumbo.”

The Duke of Sussex then kissed his wife and introduced himself to the episode guest, celeb Markle, 44, was making gumbo because her mom, Doria Ragland, made it for their family Christmas.

“Gumbo, for me, is one of my favorites,” Harry explained. “Especially her mom’s, but before the fish goes in.”

Meghan said that her mom “saves a portion on the side” for Harry.

“My mom does the turkey sausage for you, so this one has more kick to it,” she said. “I’ll give you a little towel. He’s going to sweat.

Harry initially said “wonderful” but after sampling the dish, the royal added, “I can feel it puncturing through the top of my head right now.”

After calling it “delicious,” he got in a jab at his wife.

“I’m not so sure it’s as good as your mom’s but it’s certainly close,” he said. Markle gave him a look of feigned offense.

Markle replied, “My mom will love you for that. What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law.”

“With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration” is part of Markle’s Netflix show “With Love, Meghan,” which features the former actress welcoming celeb pals and showing off her cooking and gardening skills at home in Montecito, Calif.

Past guests have included Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, and Mindy Kaling. The show, which has two seasons, has been critically panned.

The Telegraph editor Anita Singh said the show is “an exercise in narcissism, filled with extravagant brunches, celebrity pals and business plugs.”

The Independent writer Katie Rosseinsky gave “With Love, Meghan” a one-star review and called the series “queasy and exhausting.”

One viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “‘With Love, Meghan’ is a masterclass in how to waste Netflix money. What do we get? Her pretending to be relatable, and trades banalities with B-list guests like Mindy Kaling. This isn’t a lifestyle show, it’s a 40 minute infomercial for her ego!”

In another part of the special, Markle talked about her kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.

She said she shares the English holiday tradition of the “Christmas cracker” with them, to get back to her Harry’s roots.

The cracker is a cardboard contraption that people pull apart to reveal a toy, often surrounded by confetti.

The former “Suits” actress explained, “Living in U.K., it’s such a part of [the culture] for Christmas holidays, for sure. Typically people cross arms and do it. So they sit around a table and they all pull at the same time.”

She added, “It actually does feel really connected and sweet.”

Markle said she makes one for Harry, too. In his, she revealed, she put, “a little love letter, a chocolate [and] a little hat.”
