Chalk it up as a major win for noti.group’s legendary Mr. Loser.

Steve Serby has been named 2025 New York Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Association, sharing the honor with ESPN.com’s Rich Cimini.

Serby first joined The Post in 1972 and has appeared in the paper for approximately 52 years around a 16-month stint at a competing tabloid.

He began covering the Jets in 1977 and became an NFL columnist in 1983.

The Post has frequently been recognized by the NSMA.

The late Larry Brooks won the award in 2024, Phil Mushnick captured it six times (most recently in 2009), Mike Vaccaro four times (most recently in 2022), and Brian Costello took it home in 2015.

The Nets’ Chris Carrino and Syracuse radio’s Matt Park are the co-winners of the New York Sportscaster of the Year award.
