With Detroit down 70-66 in the third quarter, Duren left his post to help defend Sixers guard Trendon Watford on a drive to the hoop.

By doing that, the center left Drummond, who caught a pass under the basket for a dunk, giving Philly a 72-66 lead.

Duren, 21, was seen yelling at Thompson, 22, under the basket, and they exchanged words as they headed to the bench for a Pistons timeout.

Pistons veteran forward Tobias Harris stepped in between the two.

Duren and Thompson talked it out and moved on, as they were seen shaking hands before returning to the court.

“They went back and forth, but this is what good teams have to be able to do,” NBC Sports Philadelphia analyst Alaa Abdelnasser said on the broadcast. “You gotta talk it out, you gotta hold each other accountable, and you can’t take it personal.

“And then when it’s done, you shake and you move on and that’s what they’re doing right now… moving on.”

The Pistons came back to beat the Sixers, 111-108.

Duren finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds.

Thompson recorded 14 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Pistons (8-2) play the Washington Wizards (1-9) in Detroit on Monday.
