By order of the Peaky Blinders…

Steven Knight, creator of the hit historical gangster drama “Peaky Blinders,” told The Post what to expect from the hotly anticipated “Peaky Blinders” movie, for which Netflix hasn’t announced a release date.

Regarding the film’s plot, Knight said, “It’s the Second World War, so [Tommy Shelby] is facing the Nazis, the enemy at the time in the 1940s.”

He added that during this era, “Britain was alone, fighting against Germans and the Italians before America joined the war. So, he’s in a very perilous situation.”

Knight was talking to The Post to promote his new historical gangster drama, “A Thousand Blows” (now streaming on Hulu).

“Peaky Blinders,” which stars Oscar winner Cillian Murphy as Shelby, premiered in 2013 and ended with Season 6 in 2022 before the feature-length film on Netflix, “The Immortal Man,” was announced.

The show was set in Birmingham, England, after World War I and followed Shelby and his family through the years as he rose from crime boss to politician.

Knight revealed that in the movie, “As ever, [Tommy] confronts his own demons – and the demons that come for him – in his own particular way.”

The hit series has boasted a strong cast over the years, including Tom Hardy, Paddy Considine, Sam Neill, Adrien Brody and the late Helen McCrory.

It’s already been announced that some new faces are joining the “Peaky” world for the movie, including Barry Keoghan and “Dune” star Rebecca Ferguson.

Since the film will have Tommy facing off against Nazis, it’s likely that Sam Claflin will return as Oswald Mosley, a Hitler ally and the leader of the British Union of Fascists who was one of Tommy’s enemies in Seasons 5 and 6.

It’s also probable that Tommy’s ally, the Jewish gangster Alfie Solomons (Hardy), will return for the flick.

Meanwhile, it’s likely that Tommy’s volatile brother, Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson), won’t be in the movie as the actor got entangled in legal drama behind the scenes.

Knight played coy on confirming which actors will return.

“I can’t give you any more information, I’m afraid, but let me put it this way: We’ve got the best possible cast of British actors that I think have ever been put together in one place, absolutely.”

The movie also won’t be the end of the “Peaky Blinders” world, as Knight has said the film will end “this part” of the Peaky story. He confirmed it will continue in some capacity.

“It will, yeah. There is such a voracious appetite for the Peaky world. So I feel that we continue it,” he told The Post.

“I love to tell the story. We will continue to tell that story, as long as there is a story to tell.”
