New network, same detective.

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” is back for a fifth season, but instead of airing on NBC’s “Law & Order” Thursday block with the rest of the “L&O” franchise, the series will stream exclusively on Peacock.

Christopher Meloni reprises his “SVU” role of Detective Elliot Stabler in “Law & Order: Organized Crime.” Stabler is the lead detective for the Organized Crime Control Bureau that will explore “the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome” during the new season, per an NBC release.

Part of a storied franchise, “Organized Crime” has featured in multiple crossovers with “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and the move to Peacock likely won’t affect those. The Season 5 premiere is one piece of a three-part crossover and it’s likely familiar faces will show up on “Organized Crime” as the season continues on.

what to know about ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’

  • Premiere date: April 17 (weekly on Thursdays after)
  • Channel: Peacock exclusive
  • Streaming: Peacock ($7.99/month)

Here’s everything you need to know about “Law & Order: Organized Crime” from its release day to how many episodes the season will have.

When do new episodes of ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ come out?

New episodes of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” come out every Thursday following the two-episode season premiere today, April 17.

How to watch ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 5:

Now that “Law & Order: Organized Crime” has moved to Peacock, you’ll need a subscription to watch Season 5. Peacock currently costs $7.99/month with ads and $13.99/month ad-free. The streamer also offers discounted annual plans, which are either $79.99 with ads or $139.99 ad-free.

Unfortunately, Peacock does not have a free trial, so a paid subscription is the only way to stream “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”

Will ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ be on NBC?

No, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” will not be on NBC this season, as it has moved exclusively to Peacock.

However, the first episode of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” will air on NBC tonight at 10 p.m. ET because it is part of a three-episode crossover with “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” that begins at 8 p.m. ET.

Who is in ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 5?

As noted above, Christopher Meloni leads “Organized Crime” as Detective 1st Grade Elliot Stabler. Danielle Moné Truitt (Sergeant Ayanna Bell), Ainsley Seiger (Detective 2nd Grade Jet Slootmaekers), and Rick Gonzalez (Detective 2nd Grade Bobby Reyes) all return as members of the Organized Crime Control Bureau.

Dean Norris is set to join the cast following a special guest appearance in Season 4; he’ll play Randall Stabler, Elliot’s older brother.

You can also expect to see familiar “L&O” faces, including Mariska Hargitay as Stabler’s former “SVU” partner, Detective Olivia Benson and Peter Scanavino as Assistant District Attorney Dominick Carisi Jr.

How many episodes will ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 5 have?

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” will have 10 episodes, which will release weekly on Thursdays through June 12.
