Jonathan Kolb did it.
The Liberty general manager pulled the lever, ejecting Sandy Brondello out of the pilot seat to leave a giant vacancy in one of the franchise’s most important roles.
Never mind that Brondello was only a year removed from guiding New York to its first professional basketball title in 51 years, and the franchise’s first ever. Or that she leaves the Liberty as the franchise’s winningest coach, posting a team-best .669 winning percentage across four seasons.
The deed is done. That lever can’t be unpulled. And Kolb can’t afford to mess this next part up.
