The United States Soccer Federation unveiled their collaboration with Nike on the new kits that the United States men’s national soccer team will wear during the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Monday.

Within minutes of the reveal, the kits were everywhere—splashed across timelines, dissected by fans, praised, debated, memed, even polls were launched to see which jersey the men’s team should wear for their first match on Friday, June 12 against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The design arrives in two distinct personalities: stars and stripes.

The home kit leans boldly into Americana with sweeping red-and-white stripes that curve across the shirt like wind pushing through a flag. The look echoes the swagger of the team’s 2012 design, but this version feels sharper, more cinematic—like a uniform meant for a summer when the world will be watching American soccer on their home turf underneath a global spotlight.

The away kit takes the opposite approach. It’s quieter. A deep navy canvas dotted with subtle stars, a design that feels just as comfortable walking through city streets as it does under stadium lights.

“I think between both kits there is something for everybody,” said Nike global product director Ronnie J. Stewart. “If you want to be loud and proud and represent the crest, no one’s going to doubt who you’re there for in the light kit. If you’re looking for that lifestyle look that works off the field, the dark is for you.”

For the first time, all 27 national teams under the U.S. Soccer umbrella—including the United States women’s national soccer team—will wear the same crest and kit design. One identity. One badge. One message.

“A national team jersey represents the pride of wearing the crest,” said Dave Wright, chief commercial officer for U.S. Soccer. “Not just for players on the field, but for the fans who support them every step of the way.”

Fans will get a sneak peak of the new threads when the USMNT faces Belgium on March 28 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium before another Atlanta showdown against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal on April 1. The two international friendly matches are tune-up games before the World Cup kicks off on June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

The jerseys are ready.

Now the question is whether the team wearing them is ready for their big moment.
