Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett traveled to Italy this week to support his girlfriend, champion snowboarder Chloe Kim, at the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.
Garrett, who unanimously won the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year at the NFL Honors ceremony last week, gushed over Kim in an interview with People, explaining that he can’t wait to be a “rock” for her as she competes in the women’s halfpipe.
“I finish up here Sunday [Feb. 8], get back for about 12 hours, and then I hit the road and go to see her,” Garrett said while on Radio Row ahead of Super Bowl 2026, adding, he’s “just trying to be her rock because throughout the year she’s mine.”
Garrett and Kim, first romantically linked in May 2025, confirmed the relationship when they were spotted kissing on the sideline before Cleveland’s 24-10 win over the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Nov. 23.
“We’re both just so supportive of one another,” Garrett said. “She’s always texting, she’s always calling to see how I’m doing during the year and I’m doing the same right now, checking on her, seeing how she’s feeling, emotionally and physically.”
Garrett, who’s earned five First-team All-Pro nods, and Kim, a two-time Olympic women’s snowboard halfpipe champion, even are competitive with each other.
“It’s so competitive. When we get into our sports, even when we play games against each other,” he said, adding, “I’m more romantic than her.”
Garrett and Kim made their first public appearance together last May when they walked the red carpet at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Japan.
She celebrated Garrett when he broke the NFL’s single-season sack record in a 20-18 win over the Bengals in the Week 18 finale on Jan. 4.
Kim, 25, is chasing history at the Winter Games.
If she secures the gold in the Italian alps, Kim will be the first person to complete a “three-peat” in Olympic history.
Kim captured gold in her Olympic debut at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games at 17-years-old, followed by her second gold in the the 2022 Beijing Games.
Kim’s qualifier is Wednesday at Livigno Snow Park.
