We’re almost there, Missouri.

Sports betting is just one week away from launching in the Show-Me State. On Dec. 1, people across the state will be able to make use of all the Missouri sports betting apps they can handle.

It has been a journey to get to the point of legalization, going all the way back to 2018 when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).

Between multiple failed attempts to produce legislation that could pass the state’s legislature and pushback within the state capital, sports betting looked like it was going nowhere.

It took a measure on the ballot for the November 2024 election, which passed by less than 3,000 votes, to make Missouri the latest state in the nation to adopt sports betting.

Now that we’re right at the goal line in terms of the launch, operators are pushing Missouri sportsbook promos before Dec. 1 comes around.

Once betting is live on Dec. 1, Missourians will be able to wager on teams across the state. The Blues face the Ducks on Monday night, then again on Thursday, Dec. 4, against the Bruins.

Mizzou basketball will go head-to-head with Notre Dame on Tuesday, Dec. 2, then face No. 24 Kansas in a huge rivalry matchup on Thursday.

The team most people will want to bet on, the Chiefs, who play on “Sunday Night Football” at Arrowhead against the Broncos on Dec. 7.

Why Trust New York Post Betting

Malik Smith has been immersed in the sports betting industry since 2017. He’s a data nerd with a particular focus on the NBA and combat sports. He spends his weeknights in the winter looking for edges on plus-money NBA player props.
