Pretty soon, you’ll be able to “Relax” and “Take It Easy.”

Starting in late April, Mika is striking out on the North American leg of his ‘Spinning Out Tour,’ in support of his recently-released seventh studio album “Hyperlove.”

Midway through the brief ten-concert run, the Grammy nominee will make his sole New York stop when he drops into The Rooftop at Pier 17 on Saturday, May 2.

“I cannot wait to visit this part of the world again to play you the new album,” the 42-year-old Beirut native shared via Instagram.

If you’d like to see him in the U.S. for the first time since spring 2022, tickets are available for all ‘Spinning Out Tour’ dates.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one show was $52 including fees on StubHub.

Prices start at $94 including fees for the May 2 NYC spot.

“…Mika revels in theatrical imperfections on his seventh album, ‘Hyperlove,’” Riff Magazine wrote in a review of the record. “He proudly wears them on his sleeve like a badge of honor. The album shouldn’t work, but those imperfections essentially are why it does. You can sink your teeth into it, sample its variety of flavors and wash it down with a gulp of nostalgic new wave.”

Right after the album hit shelves, Mika kicked off the ‘Spinning Out Tour’ in France.

The first show, which took place at France’s Le Zénith on Feb. 6, saw the singer-songwriter take 17 tracks to the stage including his smash hits “Grace Kelly,” “Happy Ending,” “Love Today,” “Lollipop” and, of course, “Relax, Take It Easy” as well as tracks from “Hyperlove,” according to Set List FM.

“…there’s nothing that’ll cheer you up more than a MIKA performance,” National World noted in their merry recap of a recent gig.

Mika new music

On Jan. 23, Mika released his seventh studio album “Hyperlove.”

The record is a mix of the pop star’s indelible, upbeat earworms that made his name and emotional yet unconventional ballads.

What makes them unconventional? Well, take the title track that gets the album underway. “Hyperlove” finds Mika belting over methodical, almost celestial piano. All seems normal until a robotic (alien?), autotuned voice takes the reins before they duet. Clearly, we’re in for something unique.

From there, lead single “Modern Times” brings things back into the dance world. However, it’s the third song “Spinning Out” — which best exemplifies the dandy playfulness that Mika is known for — that really gets the groove going. Like a magic trick, Mika has created yet another light as air singalong pop confection.

Other highlights here include the ultra-catchy “All The Same,” moody “Dreams,” anthemic bop “Science Fiction Lover,” blissed-out yet melancholy “Take Your Problems With You” and nimble party-starter “Eleven” that you won’t be able to shake for weeks.

Want to hear for yourself? You can find “Hyperlove” here.
