Michelle Trachtenberg has died at the age of 39.
Sources told The Post that the actress was found by her mother around 8 a.m. Wednesday at One Columbus Place, a luxury apartment complex in Manhattan.
Trachtenberg had recently undergone a liver transplant, according to the insiders.
The NYPD confirmed Trachtenberg was found “unconscious and unresponsive” by police and pronounced dead by EMS workers.
Her death is not deemed suspicious and a cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, police officers said.
Prior to her death, Trachtenberg shared a throwback photo with Instagram followers on February 18.
The close-up shot showed the “Gossip Girl” vet on the red carpet.
Trachtenberg captioned the picture, “I wanted to look like naughty #tinkerbell💚 #throwback ⚡️.”
Days prior, on February 12, the actress shared her last current selfie.
Trachtenberg posted a photo wearing a blue sweater with a tiger on it, a silver necklace and black eyeliner. She had sunglasses perched on top of her head as she gazed into the camera.
Trachtenberg captioned the image, “Eye of the Tiger 🦁🧿.”
Fans flocked to the comments section to share their support, with one follower writing, “Will never stop complimenting your eyes😍✨ gorgeous as per usual Michelle!”
“QUEEN,” another follower quipped.
Many people wrote how they wanted to see Trachtenberg in the upcoming “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot.
“Just curious, Are you going to be in the Buffy sequal?,” one wrote, while another echoed those sentiments, stating, “Would absolutely LOVEEEE to see you as Dawn in the Buffy reboot! Forever a Dawn defender, and I think fans would be sad not getting updates on her and seeing her once again.”
“Can’t wait to see you in the Buffy revival!!!!!!!!! Sending you light and blessings!!!”
But, there was no official word on if Trachtenberg would be involved at the time of her death.

Other followers asked about her 2004 comedy / adventure movie “EuroTrip” in the comments section.
“Where’s eurotrip 2,” they wrote. “The world needs it.”
Police sources told The Post on Wednesday that the actress had died. The insider shared that her death is not being investigated as suspicious.
Last January, Trachtenberg responded to fan concerns over her thin frame, assuring her followers that she was “happy and healthy” and had never had plastic surgery.
Trachtenberg had an extensive body of work, dating back from when she was a child. She landed her first credited role at the age of nine on the 1990s Nickelodeon series “The Adventures of Pete and Pete.”
Then, in 1996, Trachtenberg made her film debut in “Harriet the Spy,” in which she played the lead character Harriet.
And despite being known for a slew of iconic roles, the Hollywood vet did have a favorite.
“It is actually my most favorite character,” Trachtenberg told Access Hollywood about playing Dawn Summers – Buffy Summers’ little sister – in 2022. “What I respect is the fans. I have to heard about a reboot but I hope that it honors what the fans love.”
