PORT ST. LUCIE — Sean Manaea won’t even attempt to sugarcoat it: His 2025 season was a bust.

“A huge disappointment,” the Mets left-hander told The Post on Friday. “It seemed like nothing really went right. There were a couple of OK games in there, but other than that, everything was just not good. It wasn’t from lack of trying or anything like that. I feel like I put in the work and just nothing really worked out. But that is the way it goes sometimes, unfortunately.

“Last year was just a huge personal disappointment. Really no excuse for it. It just sucked.”

Manaea was referring to a season in which he posted a 5.64 ERA over 15 appearances after rehabbing an oblique strain that cost him 3 ½ months.
