ATLANTA — Winds have shifted in the Mets organization, with elite pitching prospect Jonah Tong’s name entering the conversation for the major league rotation this season.

Tong was scheduled to pitch Saturday night for Triple-A Syracuse in his second start since his promotion from Binghamton.

The right-hander has been among the top pitchers in all of minor league baseball this season.

Organizational sources throughout the season indicated Tong wouldn’t be a consideration for the major league roster this year.
