Maxx Crosby’s agent is pushing back on any speculation that his client was not on track with his recovery after the Ravens backed out of a trade to acquire the five-time Pro Bowler.

After the news broke on Tuesday, there have been plenty of theories as to what the turn of events could mean for where Crosby stands in his recovery from January knee surgery.

Agent CJ LaBoy said in a statement that Crosby “continues to be on track in his recovery,” and said Dr. Neal ElAttrache indicated that if anything, Crosby was “ahead of schedule.”

“Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons,” LaBoy wrote in a post on X.

Crosby has not made any public comments about what’s occurred, but did share LaBoy’s statement on his Instagram story.

The NFL star also posted a short video of himself aboard a private plane with his feet up. The destination was not clear.

The deal between the Raiders and Ravens had been agreed upon on Friday that would have sent Crosby to the East Coast and given Vegas a 2027 first-round pick and Baltimore’s No. 14 pick this year.

The deal was pending a physical, and The California Post’s Vincent Bonsignore confirmed the trade was nixed after Crosby failed his physical earlier on Tuesday.

Crosby had appeared ready for a fresh start in Baltimore and had been embracing what he thought would be his next chapter with the Ravens.

He had changed his Instagram profile picture to himself in a Ravens uniform, and it remained even after the deal was called off.

Crosby eventually changed it to a headshot of himself on Tuesday evening.

An Instagram video he took of Baltimore Harbor and posted to his story had also still remained visible as of late Tuesday evening.

The Ravens’ decision to pull out of the trade has raised some questions about whether other teams would be concerned about Crosby being able to pass a physical.

One general manager told NFL Network’s Jane Slater that Crosby was “never gonna ‘pass’ a physical,” suggesting there could be something more serious at play.

“Based on where he is in recovery. Something else had to lead to the decision.  Do they think he is too far behind in rehab? Don’t like the images of recovery? … or something else potentially,” the GM told her.
