It appears Marc Sanchez’s legal troubles aren’t getting any better.

The former USC and Jets quarterback is facing charges for felony battery and three misdemeanors after he got into a fight with truck driver Perry Tole outside an Indianapolis hotel in early October.

While the fight resulted in multiple near-fatal stab wounds to the upper right torso for Sanchez, it was reported that he instigated the fight Tole.

Tole, 69, is now accusing Sanchez of possibly being under the influence of cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana and alcohol at the time of the altercation in new legal documents.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Tole’s attorneys say a ‘preliminary investigation’ has resulted in the belief that Sanchez may have taken ‘multiple illegal substances’ leading up the altercation.

“These are allegations in a civil filing, nothing more, and they should be treated accordingly. Allegations are not evidence. The truth will be determined by facts and evidence presented at trial, and we look forward to presenting them at the appropriate time,” Sanchez’s attorney Andrew M. McNeil said in a statement to The Daily Mail.

Sanchez was in Indianapolis at the time of the incident as he was set to call the Raiders-Colts game the following day.

The fight was allegedly triggered after Sanchez had a problem with Tole’s truck blocking an alley next to the hotel where Sanchez was allegedly running sprints. After confronting Tole, the situation escalated and police were called.

According to police, Sanchez smelled of alcohol and was “acting erratically.” Tole eventually told police, “This guy is trying to kill me,” when asked to recall his thoughts when he stabbed Sanchez.

“This incident should never have happened. What began as a disagreement between a 38-year-old former professional athlete and a 69-year-old man should not have escalated into violence or left anyone seriously injured. As with any case, we will follow the facts and the law wherever they lead,” Marion County prosecutor Ryan Mears said.

Sanchez was later fired by Fox Sports, a network rep confirmed to The New York Post.

“We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network. There will be no further comment at this time,” the rep said.

Sanchez has remained silent on the subject for the most part, most recently taking to Instagram to express his gratitude for the support, writing: “This time of year always makes me look around and appreciate what matters, but this one hits different.”

“I’m just grateful — to wake up, to be home, and to be able to wrap my arms around my wife and kids,” he continued. “Thank you to the people who kept me standing and gave my family opportunities to share moments like these.”
