The Liberty find themselves in all too familiar territory heading into Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
Breanna Stewart’s status for Wednesday’s potential clincher is questionable after she hurt her left knee in Game 1 Sunday. Testing and further examination upon returning to New York on Monday didn’t rule Stewart out for the playoffs.
The results of imaging, including an MRI, were “relatively clear,” according to coach Sandy Brondello, who also told reporters, “Your guess is as good as mine” regarding whether Stewart will play.
If Stewart can play, she will. Ultimately, though, it’ll be her call.
