Who knew the Liberty’s injury-filled title-defense season would have an upside?
It likely was difficult to find one for a team that searched for new and old players to plug holes for a franchise-high 18 starting lineups that has led to mixed results all season.
They have had Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones on the court together for just 13 games.
However, with less than a week until the playoffs kick off Sept. 14, the No. 5 seed Liberty are viewing their lineup inconsistencies and gaps as what coach Sandy Brondello called “a luxury” at Monday’s practice.
