Former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy claims to have receipts on the Eagles’ offensive downfall this season.

During a Sunday appearance on the “Speakeasy” podcast — following Philadelphia’s 23-19 loss to the 49ers in the NFC wild-card game — McCoy explained that people within the Eagles organization believe quarterback Jalen Hurts limits the potential of their offense.

“I need you to be special and make plays,” McCoy said, referring to Hurts. “I did a lot of digging, man, and I won’t throw them under the bus here, but I know some people and the problem is, we can’t do different exotic looks, different formations or different motions because I’m hearing that he can’t really do it.”

McCoy explained that it was hard for Eagles wideout A.J. Brown to get in a groove with Hurts because he was barely targeted.

“When you watch dudes like [Vikings wideout] Justin Jefferson or [Bengals wideout] Ja’Marr Chase, look how [their teams] are trying to get their best receiver the ball… They don’t do that with [wide receiver] A.J. Brown,” McCoy said, referring to feeding him the ball.

“And I think the problem they don’t do that is because of the quarterback.

“There are too many times I’m asking coaches, players — I’m in Philadelphia, I’m there — and the answers I’m getting is that ‘Yo, they just don’t do that.’

“And then when I’m asking more, they’re like, ‘Well, don’t fit our offense.’

“I keep digging deeper and I don’t think Jalen likes those plays. I think he wants it simple… I think for the talent we have [the offense] should be a little more complicated.

McCoy added that he wouldn’t blame Brown for leaving Philadelphia because of his lack of targets as the No. 1 receiver.

The Hurts-Brown saga has been boiling over since last season, when the three-time Pro Bowl wideout voiced his displeasure with the offense.

Brown did not speak with reporters after Sunday’s loss.

Hurts, who’s one year removed from being named Super Bowl MVP, couldn’t control the Eagles’ offense against a relentless 49ers’ defense.

They committed four drops on third down, the most in a playoff game since 2006, per ESPN stats.

Hurts and Co. were under a new offensive scheme this season with Kevin Patullo serving as offensive coordinator after Kellen Moore took the head coach job in New Orleans.
