Kit Harington recalls ‘humiliating’ Bella Ramsey experience on ‘Game of Thrones’

You know nothing, Jon Snow.

Kit Harington and “The Last of Us” star Bella Ramsey reunited for a sit-down together — and revealed their first “Game of Thrones” exchange didn’t go so well.

“I remember meeting you — it was the first thing you did where we had to come and address you, asking for soldiers,” Harington, 38, told Ramsey, 21 during an Interview Magazine story published Monday.

Harington starred as Jon Snow on the hit fantasy series from 2011 to 2019. Ramsey played Lyanna Mormont, who was in Seasons 6-8.

Ramsey was 11 when they started on “Game of Thrones” and 14 when it ended.

“I don’t know whether you remember this, but I remember it quite vividly and have some remorse for it now, but during that scene I was mouthing your lines to you,” Ramsey said.

During their first scene together, Jon Snow visited Lyanna Mormont — who ruled Bear Island and House Mormont — to ask her for soldiers to aid him in successfully taking back his home, Winterfell, from the evil Ramsey Bolton (Iwan Rheon).

Ramsey recalled that when they mouthed Harington’s lines to him during that scene, “Now I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, how awful.’ But at the time it came from a very innocent place of being like, ‘Kit’s struggling with his line and I know it, so let me just mouth it to him.’”

Harington chimed in: “I do remember you helping me out and it being quite humiliating.”

He joked, “But yeah, thanks for that. I’ve probably chosen to forget it.”

Ramsey bemoaned that they must have been “annoying.”

Harington replied, “It wasn’t at all. If anything I was like, ‘Oh god, I’ve got to up my game. I came here not really being comfortable enough with my lines, in the arrogance of however old I was, thinking I’m just opposite some child. And then that child actor is wiping me off the screen.’”

Harington added, “Not that it’s a competition, but you’re like, ‘Oh, I’ve got a bit too comfortable in my Jon Snow-ness.’”

Harington currently stars on the HBO workplace drama “Industry,” while Ramsey leads HBO’s dystopian drama “The Last of Us” with fellow “Game of Thrones” alum Pedro Pascal — until the show brutally killed him off.

Harington is also married to former “Game of Thrones” co-star Rose Leslie, 38, with whom he shares a 4- year-old son and 1-year-old daughter.

The two actors bonded over their discomfort with the spotlight, too.

“I was so terrified of signing on to ‘The Last of Us’ and the idea of reaching a level of fame that doesn’t go away, not being able to backtrack from that,” Ramsey explained.

“But I realize now that actually, you reach this level of fame that stays for a few months while the show’s coming out, and then it does sort of die off. If you don’t do anything to maintain that level of fame, the world moves on, which I’m so grateful for.”

Harington, who checked into rehab after “Game of Thrones” ended and has openly talked about struggling with addiction and suicidal thoughts, commiserated.

“Yeah, I remember that with my time on ‘Game of Thrones.’ While the show was on, it was quite intense.”

He added, “I was like you, I think. My soul didn’t respond well to [fame] in a strange way, and I had different coping mechanisms which weren’t good or healthy.”
