But is he still the right guy for the job?
From rookie Jaxson Dart’s promise to other top talents in their prime at key positions … from the stability of a century of family ownership to the four Super Bowl trophies on display in the team facility … from the star-making New York market to the lowered immediate expectations … there are a lot of factors that make the Giants’ head coach vacancy attractive to candidates, as Schoen recently predicted would be the case.
But is Schoen one of them? None of those other perks go away if the embattled fourth-year general manager is fired after the season, so how much — if at all — of a deterrent would it be to keep Schoen (and his 20-43-1 record) in the Giants’ search to replace the fired Brian Daboll?
