Jarrett Payton made his intentions very clear Sunday before capturing the moment Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift left Arrowhead Stadium together.
In a post shared on his X account, Payton — the son of NFL legend Walter Payton and a sports anchor for Chicago’s WGN9 News — tweeted that his “goal is to find Taylor Swift before I leave Arrowhead,” where the Chiefs demolished the Bears, 41-10.
The message was posted around 4:30 p.m., roughly four hours before Payton shared a now-viral video of Kelce and Swift, both 33, walking through the hallways of the stadium together.
“Talk about being at the right place at the right time! Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce leaving Arrowhead together after the game,” he posted.
Swift’s appearance in Kansas City rocked the NFL world Sunday — days after Kelce revealed he had invited the pop megastar to see him in action.
“I threw the ball in her court. I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit,” Kelce said Thursday on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
Swift was seen in a suite on Sunday with Kelce’s mom, Donna, with the cameras locked in on her animated celebrations.
A source told People over the weekend that Swift found the game to be “a fantastic way to spend Sunday.”
“Travis invited her to the game, and of course she said ‘yes,’” the insider said.
“She just thought it was a fantastic way to spend Sunday.”
Speculation about Swift and Kelce has only continued to intensify, with Entertainment Tonight reporting that Kelce rented out a local restaurant as part of the post-game festivities.
