VANCOUVER, British Columbia — J.T. Miller is back in the city where it all clicked for him.

After years of fumbling opportunities with the Rangers and Lightning, due to a mix of unpreparedness, immaturity and an early element of being starstruck, Miller believes it wasn’t until he joined the Canucks that he was able to put it all together and become the NHL player he is today with the Rangers.

That included learning from his past mistakes.

He began a still-ongoing journey toward channeling his emotions.
