If the Rangers are to end a season-high four-game losing streak Monday night against the Blues, they will have to do it without captain J.T Miller, who will miss his second consecutive game with an upper-body injury.

Miller, who suffered the injury after scoring two goals during Thursday’s loss in Colorado, remains day-to-day.

The 32-year-old has gotten off to a slow start in his first full season of his second stint with the team, recording six goals and six assists through 22 games, contributing to the Rangers’ 28th-ranked offense and worst home start in franchise history.

The Rangers might also be without center Vincent Trocheck, who was held out of Monday’s morning skate for precautionary reasons.

Backup goaltender Jonathan Quick will miss the upcoming game with a lower-body injury after colliding with Utah’s Michael Carcone in Saturday’s loss.

The Rangers recalled Dylan Garand to backup Igor Shesterkin, while also promoting winger Brett Berard, who could make his season debut with the Rangers.

The 23-year-old Bedard appeared in 35 games with the Rangers last season, producing six goals and four assists. In Hartford this season, he has put up two goals and seven assists in 17 games.
