Hilary Knight and the United States Women’s Hockey team are feeling good.
After their triumphant 5-1 victory over the Czech Republic in the first game of the preliminary round, the 1-0 club is ready to take on Petra Nieminen’s Finland today the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena in Milan, Italy on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 10:40 am ET.
While the U.S. had a big start to their 2026 Winter Olympics campaign, Finland had a rough go to kick things off.

Rather than play their first match against Canada on Thursday, they had to postpone after the team came down with norovirus and 14 players had to be quarantined.
“There’s a chance that if they would play then it would influence Team Canada and their health as well,” Finland’s Head Coach Tero Lehtera said. “I couldn’t risk my players.”
