Just one year after its inaugural contest at the 2025 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, the women’s team combined event is making its Olympic debut.
In the women’s team combined, two-person teams are assigned to compete in downhill and slalom, respectively. The team with the fasted combined time for both runs are crowned the winners.
Of the three teams to win medals at the world championships, only one full team remains together for the Winter Olympics — the gold-medal winning duo of Americans Breezy Johnson and Mikaela Shiffrin. On Sunday, Johnson became the first gold medal winner of the 2026 Olympics for Team USA with her victory in the downhill event.

Women’s team combined skiing start time
The women’s team combined event at the Winter Olympics is split into two portions with two start times. The downhill portion is scheduled to begin at 4:30 a.m. ET on Feb. 10, while the slalom portion (where medals are decided) will start just a few hours later at 8 a.m. ET.
