A day of CFP quarterfinals is wrapping up with tonight’s Sugar Bowl between No. 6 Ole Miss and the team that handed the Rebels their only loss of 2025, No. 3 Georgia.

On Oct. 18, the Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Rebels, 43-35. When they meet today, things will be a little different on Ole Miss’ sidelines. After Lane Kiffin left the Ole Miss head coach position in late Nov., he was replaced by Pete Golding. Tonight is Golding’s second game as head coach; his first was in the CFP first round when the Rebels defeated Tulane to move onto today’s game.

Georgia also recorded just one loss this season, to fellow CFP team Alabama, but finished 12-1 — good enough for the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye.
