The Dodgers are hoping to become the first teams in 25 years to successfully defend a World Series title, and they got a few steps closer after defeating the Phillies in the NLDS in four games. The Chicago Cubs took the Brewers to Game 5 of the NLDS, but the Brewers prevailed in a 3-1 victory.
In the regular season, the Brewers went a perfect 6-0 across two series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, becoming the third team in MLB history to sweep a season series (five or more games) against the Dodgers.
