After an action-packed, double middle finger-flipping (!) week one, the Seahawks are back for another round at their home Lumen Field.
On Friday, Aug. 15, Sam Darnold and co. will take on Patrick Mahomes’ reigning AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.
In week one, Mike Macdonald’s club tied the Las Vegas Raiders 23-23. And, although he didn’t play, former Seahawks quarterback — and current Raider signal-caller — Geno Smith gave a pair of one-finger salutes to a fan who held up a sign that read “Bigger bust – Geno or JaMarcus Russell?”
The Chiefs had an equally interesting preseason debut when they fell short 20-17 against the Arizona Cardinals. Backup quarterback Bailey Zappe led the way, completing eight of 17 passes for 70 yards and two interceptions.
This game will be the first time the two franchises have met since Christmas Eve 2022; Mahomes and Kelce won that contest 24-10.
