The stage for the US Open women’s final is set: this afternoon, Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova will face off for the final Grand Slam title of the season.

After finding themselves down one set in their respective semifinals, both Sabalenka and Anisimova rallied — Sabalenka over Jessica Pegula and Anisimova over Naomi Osaka — to advance into the final, setting up a rematch of the July 2025 Wimbledon women’s semifinal.

Anisimova won that Wimbledon match, leading to her first Slam final appearance; today, she’ll make her second consecutive Slam final still seeking her first title.

Sabalenka, a three-time Grand Slam winner, is the reigning US Open champion. Until her match against Pegula on Thursday, she hadn’t dropped a set during the tournament.
