AEW World champion “Hangman” Adam Page can’t help but have a little fun at his former on-screen friends’ expense while revealing what it would take for him to consider mending that relationship.
The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson, have spent the last month being treated like enhancement talent – the lowest rung possible in pro wrestling. It’s part of a self-deprecatory storyline in AEW after their executive vice president titles were taken away due to their loss to Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay at All In in July at Globe Life Field.
On screen, they were stripped of their private jets, their own locker rooms, and denied getting to use their traditional theme music and pyro during their entrances. Instead, their music has been replaced by old theme songs during their indie days, or cheap MIDI-quality themes.
Their name tag graphic have either not been filled, just saying “Talent Name” or using their “Generation Me” names, “Max and Jeremy” from their early days in TNA as a low-level team.
