Another murder mystery is afoot.

“The Artist,” Aram Rappaport’s new series for his free streaming service, The Network, takes viewers into the Gilded Age world where every character is a suspect following the death of an eccentric tycoon.

Clark Gregg and Ever Anderson, two of the show’s stars, exclusively told The Post that “The Artist” was a milestone project for both of their careers.

“I don’t feel like it’s like any thing I’ve ever done,” said Gregg, 62, who plays Harry Kendall Thaw, the real-life son of millionaire businessman William Thaw Sr.

“I don’t do a lot of period pieces. So I was thrilled to be part of it,” Gregg continued. “I think what Aram chose to start this new streaming network with was a really great choice. And for me, the icing was getting to act with one of the best young actors I’ve ever worked with.”

Ever Anderson in “The Artist.” Network

18-year-old Anderson, who plays another real-life person, model and actress Evelyn Nesbit, said she’s “never been allowed to do a role that has such like debauchery in it” before “The Artist.”

“This whole experience was so intensely fun and exciting,” she shared. “Every day you wake up and there’s so much improv going on, you have no idea what you’re going to get from the day. And I just had the best time. And I’m also a huge history buff. So for me to get to play a character that I actually know about and read about, it was something I always thought was niche.”

“And then all of a sudden I’m getting this email being like, ‘Can you tape for Evelyn Nesbit?’ I was like, ‘Yes! I love her. That’s my idol,’” Anderson added.

“The Artist” also gave Gregg and Anderson the chance to co-star with some of the biggest talents in Hollywood, including Patti LuPone, Mandy Patinkin, Janet McTeer and Danny Huston.

“Working with Mandy Patinkin and Janet McTeer and Ana Mulvoy Ten was so amazing, because we all had these scenes together,” Anderson said. “Behind the scenes, it was just so fun. Nobody felt like they needed to stick in character. Everybody was just talking. And that’s when it really just clicked for me that I’m working with some incredible people.”

And since “The Artist” is a murder mystery, none of the cast — including Gregg and Anderson — were given all the scripts.

“I have done some work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” said Gregg, who infamously played Agent Phil Coulson in the MCU. “So, I’m used to getting nothing but the moments that I’m in.”

Anderson is also a Marvel alum, having played the younger version of Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff in “Black Widow.”

But like most Marvel actors, Gregg and Anderson played coy when asked if they’d return to the superhero franchise.

“I hope so — but Marvel is very lock and key about everything,” Anderson said.

“I don’t know,” Gregg added. “It comes up a lot. I don’t know anything.”

Part 1 of “The Artist” premieres Thursday on The Network. Part 2 premieres on Christmas.
