New details have emerged regarding Dylan Walsh’s startling car crash earlier this month.

The “Nip/Tuck” star, 61, reportedly suffered a stroke shortly before the accident in Rumson, NJ, on Aug. 17, his rep told TMZ on Wednesday.

Walsh’s rep also informed the outlet that even though the “Superman & Lois” actor had been drinking before getting behind the wheel of his 2022 Ford Explorer, his blood alcohol content (BAC) was allegedly found to be below the legal limit. However, cops have not confirmed that detail.

As for why Walsh appeared “very red” and “very confused” when talking to police after the crash, his rep claimed it was because the “Unforgettable” star and his family had spent the day at the beach.

The Post has reached out to Walsh’s rep for comment.

The news that Walsh and his loved ones were involved in a car accident first broke last week after the Rumson Police Department told TMZ that the actor had smashed his vehicle into two utility poles.

Walsh’s SUV was reportedly heading northbound around 5 p.m. local time when it swerved into the opposite lane and slammed into one utility pole before colliding with another.

Law enforcement confirmed that two of the five individuals in the vehicle at the time of the crash were transported to Riverview Medical Center to get checked out.

Walsh’s rep later addressed the incident and said that everyone involved in the scary collision was recovering.

The actor, his wife, Leslie Bourque, their children Hudson, 12, and Amelie, 13, and one additional passenger were said to be in the car during the crash.

“Over the weekend, Dylan Walsh and his family were involved in a car accident in Rumson,” the rep told The Post. “Thankfully, everyone is safe and has since returned home.”

“The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care,” they continued. “They would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath.”

More recently, however, the police report from the incident revealed that an open cooler bag containing several empty and open White Claw Hard Seltzer cans was found in the “Lake House” star’s crashed car following the accident.

A witness also told cops they allegedly heard Walsh’s wife screaming to “get the bag out of the back seat” before police arrived at the scene. According to the rep, it was Walsh’s wife and the other adult in the vehicle who were drinking the White Claws.

Walsh was “very red and looked very confused” when talking to law enforcement, per the police report first obtained by TMZ, and told the responding officers that he had been drinking and was on his way back from a tavern before the crash.

He was reportedly cited for six motor vehicle violations after the incident, including open container of alcohol, reckless driving, expired registration, failure to keep right, unsafe lane change/failure to maintain lane and driving on a sidewalk.

Walsh’s crash came just one month after his “Nip/Tuck” co-star, Julian McMahon, passed away from cancer on July 2. He was 56.

The pair starred in the plastic surgery drama for six seasons from 2003 to 2010, and Walsh played Dr. Sean McNamara opposite McMahon’s Dr. Christian Troy.

“Dear Jules, I know you like to flout the boundaries but this time you’ve gone too far,” Walsh told The Post while paying tribute to his late co-star on July 5. “Let’s meet at the Biltmore, have a martini and we’ll talk this through.”
