Former Disney Channel actor Rondell Sheridan made an emotional plea to fans from his hospital bed on Tuesday.
Sheridan, known for playing Victor Baxter in Disney’s “That’s So Raven,” was diagnosed with a severe case of pancreatitis last month and asked fans to help cover his medical bills.
“On April the 10th, I was on the road and got sick, [I] went to the hospital and they thought it was gastric,” Sheridan revealed in a vulnerable Instagram video filmed from his hospital bed. “I got home on the 12th, immediately went to the hospital at Northridge and was told it’s pancreatitis.”
The Chicago native initially spent nine days in the hospital, where he underwent “tons of tests.”
“I got released and I thought I was on the road to recovery, but it was just for observation,” Sheridan said. “My pancreas is inflamed and there’s not much you can do about it but just wait for the inflammation to go down. I didn’t realize that I was going to be and will be out of work for quite some time.”
Sheridan’s friend, Isabel Beyoso, set up a GoFundMe page to help out the struggling comedian.
“If you have anything that you could donate, I would gladly appreciate it,” Sheridan said. “Thank you so much.”
The Post has contacted Sheridan’s team for comment.
“The doctors have said he just has to wait for his pancreas to do what it’s going to do before any further treatment can be considered, and in the meantime, he will be mostly bedridden while in recovery,” Beyoso wrote on the actor’s GoFundMe page.
“If we can all come together to help him financially for his medical and monthly bills while his body heals, I know this will be one giant stress we can collectively take off his shoulders, so that he can focus on resting, recovering, and healing,” Beyoso added. “Every little bit helps and he appreciates you immensely.”
The page raised over $48,000, which surpassed the initial goal of $35,000.
According to the GoFundMe page, a $7,000 donation seemingly came from “Saturday Night Live” star Kenan Thompson on Wednesday.
Sheridan acted in an episode of Thompson’s “Kenan & Kel” in 1998 and went on to star alongside Raven-Symoné in Disney’s “That’s So Raven.”
He reprised his role as Victor Baxter in “That’s So Raven’s” two spinoffs — “Cory in the House” and “Raven’s Home.”
Most recently, the comedian was on the road touring, according to his Instagram posts.
