A British documentary maker who pretended to be drunk to expose the dangers women face in Magaluf has described the moment three men agreed to ‘go for it’ when they found her slumped on a beach sun lounger.

Journalist Ellie Flynn went undercover for the new film ‘Magaluf Undercover: Predators and Parties’ to expose the ‘predatory underbelly’ of the Majorcan tourist hotspot.

One particularly disturbing scene captured the moment two local men approached Ellie in the early hours of the morning as she pretended to be passed out on a sun-lounger on the beach.

Despite her apparent state, cameras showed how one man shamelessly preyed on Ellie and tried to take advantage of her.

Although the filmmaker ushered him away, he was captured approaching a third man, telling him in Spanish: ‘She’s completely wasted…Let’s go for it!’, before returning to the sun lounger where Ellie laid.

‘If you want, I can keep you company’, he told her – a moment which she said left her ‘upset and frightened’.

Writing in The Sun, the documentary maker said: ‘I had seen the first two together, but the sudden appearance of another and having no idea at the time if they were together – was enough for me to signal security to get me out’.

Ellie also described how she felt like she had ‘experienced an orchestrated attempt to target drunk women alone on a night out in Magaluf’.

But her frightening encounter with the three men on the beach was not an isolated event.

Over the course of three days, Ellie – who was accompanied by a film crew while she disguised herself as a drunken reveller – secretly filmed in clubs, on the strip and on Magaluf beach after dark.

The crew documented the several sinister instances in which Ellie was followed ad harassed by men.

Ellie said she noticed a ‘pattern’ in the behaviour of some men in the party destination.

One night, Ellie said she was watched for ten minutes by a group of men as she slumped outside a fast food shop, before one of them told her he had a car.

‘Why would this  man, who has been watching me for several minutes and can see that I am seemingly drunk, be trying to get me into a vehicle’, she wrote in The Sun.

‘He repeatedly asked why I was alone, where my mates were and suggested he could help me – all while telling me that I’, beautiful, and standing much closer than I was comfortable with’.

But it is not just Channel 4’s upcoming documentary that details the trend of women being preyed on in Magaluf.

Over the summer several instances of rape were reported at the tourist hotspot.

One female British tourist was allegedly raped by a man twice her age who intercepted her as she returned to her holiday apartment from a boozy night out with friends in Magaluf.

Another British woman was raped an robbed on a beach after she became separated from friends in the resort’s Punta Ballena party strip.

The suspect was said to have picked her up and carried her to the beach where he allegedly raped her before stealing her mobile phone.

In April last year an Italian man was arrested on suspicion of raping a 38-year-old British woman on a beach near Magaluf after luring her from a nearby bar.

The 20-year-old was held after the victim complained he had forced himself on her after a night out in Palmanova which borders the famous party resort.

The Majorcan region of Calvia, where Magaluf is situated in, has the highest number of reported sexual assaults per inhabitant in the whole of Spain.

The party resort on the Spanish island of Majorca is famed for its drink-fuelled culture, which is often perpetrated by foreign tourists – in particular British and German.

Images surfaced over the summer depicting shocking scenes of passed-out Brits collapsed on pavements and inside kebab shops.

One image showed a woman lying on the street as a concerned friend sat by her.

Another picture showed a woman who had seemingly been abandoned in a takeaway, where she had fallen asleep.

The documentary, which will air on Wednesday on Channel 4, is telling of the sinister and predatory dangers drunk, vulnerable female tourists will often find in Magaluf.
