The Micah Parsons-Cowboys drama just won’t end.

Weeks after the superstar pass rusher requested a trade out of Dallas, the stalemate between the Parsons and the team continues.

Despite reports this week that Parsons and the Cowboys may be heading their separate ways, oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook Canada are still anticipating the four-time Pro Bowler to stay put once Week 1 rolls around.

The Cowboys are still a heavy -370 favorite to mend differences with Parsons and keep him on their roster for the start of the 2025 NFL season, which begins with Dallas visiting the Eagles on Sept. 4

The oddsboard runs counter to comments made by ESPN insider Adam Schefter, who said the two sides were “headed towards divorce” after the relationship deteriorated throughout the offseason.

“You can’t get a deal done if you’re not even talking, and the two sides haven’t had any negotiations since late March or early April, and it sounds like at this point it’s personal,” Schefter said on Tuesday’s episode of his self-titled podcast.

Parsons, the Cowboys’ 12th overall pick in 2021, has been seeking a new deal as he enters the final year of his rookie contract.

The 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year pubblicly requested a trade from the Cowboys on Aug. 1, citing a lack of communication from the club to negotiate a deal.

He explained that he no longer wants to play for the franchise, as the club has yet to contact his agent after Parsons and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones discussed a new deal in March.

“Unfortunately I no longer want to be here,” Parsons wrote on social media. “I no longer want to be held to close door negotiations without my agent present. I no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured while laying it on the line for the organization our fans and my teammates … I have made a tough decision I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys.”
