From afar, Chris Mullin watches with pride, and believes in his heart that a Red Storm is brewing on the eve of March Madness.

“They got a real good shot to make a deep run,” Mullin told The Post.

“They’re loaded, man. They got talent across the board. Tremendous front line. Zuby’s [Ejiofor] one of the best players in the country. [Bryce] Hopkins is a multitalented, big-time forward, can score inside and out. Dillon Mitchell’s one of the best athletes in the country. They got shooting. They’ve developed Dylan Darling now so he looks great.”

Lou Carnesecca’s 1985 St. John’s Final Four team, with the Brooklyn-born Mullin imposing his will on the tournament, embraced Ya Gotta Believe.
