As if the Cowboys’ season couldn’t get any worse already.

CeeDee Lamb could be out for the next three to four weeks with a high ankle sprain that he suffered during the loss to the Bears over the weekend, ESPN reported.

That would mean the Cowboys would be without Lamb for their game against the Packers at home, an Oct. 5 meeting with the Jets in East Rutherford and then an Oct. 12 game against the Panthers in Carolina.

They also play the Commanders at home on Oct. 19, which is a game Lamb could also be absent from.

Executive vice president Stephen Jones addressed the potential loss of Lamb during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Monday.

“I think we’ve got to evaluate the full thing and see how he’s moving around as the day goes,” Jones said. “Certainly, he’s got a high ankle sprain, and every one of those are different. We’d love to have him back for Green Bay, but at the same time, we also got to understand the injury is what it is, and we’ll play it out.”

Lamb had gone into Sunday’s matchup with the Bears with back-to-back 100-yard games before suffering the injury in the first quarter with 8:34 left on the clock.

Bears linebacker Noah Sewell landed on the back of Lamb’s ankle, which led to it twisting.

The injury means that George Pickens would be relied upon as the Cowboys’ No. 1 receiver as long as Lamb is not able to play.

Pickens had a good outing on Sunday and in the first three games of the season, he has 13 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns.

The wide receiver also had a moment of frustration on Sunday when he was captured on the broadcast slamming his helmet on the ground after missing a catch that led to an interception.
