Brooks Koepka is done with LIV Golf.

The five-time major winner won’t play for the rebel golf league in 2026 in a “mutually agreed” breakup, according to a Tuesday press release from LIV Golf.

“Brooks Koepka will be stepping away from LIV Golf,” a statement from Koepka’s representatives read. “He is deeply grateful to Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Scott O’Neil, and the LIV Golf leadership team, his teammates, and the fans. Family has always guided Brooks’s decisions, and he feels this is the right moment to spend more time at home.

“Brooks will continue to be a huge supporter of LIV Golf and wishes the league and its players continued success. Brooks remains passionate about the game of golf and will keep fans updated on what’s ahead.”

Brooks Koepka of the United States plays his second shot on the second hole on day one of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2025 at Carnoustie Golf Links on October 2, 2025 in Carnoustie, Scotland.

Koepka joined the Saudi-backed golf tour in 2022, joining the likes of Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and other stars who defected from the PGA Tour.

The 35-year-old’s contract was reportedly upwards of $100 million and set to run through the 2026 season.

“We have amicably and mutually agreed that Brooks Koepka will no longer compete in the LIV Golf League, following the 2025 season,” LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neill said in a statement. “Brooks is prioritizing the needs of his family and staying closer to home. We appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course.”

Before leaving the PGA Tour for LIV, Koepka was one of the top golfers in the world, winning four majors and spending 44 total weeks as the No. 1-ranked golfer at various points from 2018-20.

Despite winning a fifth major since joining LIV Golf, Koepka’s career has taken a turn in recent years, finishing top-25 in just one of eight major starts over the past two years.

Earlier this year, Koepka hinted that he wanted to be back on the PGA Tour.

In October, Koepka and his wife, Jena Sims, revealed they were dealing with a pregnancy loss.

“At 16 weeks, we learned that our baby’s heart had stopped beating,” Sims wrote on Instagram. “This is a grief no parent is ever prepared for. We are devastated, but remain hopeful to give Crew a sibling one day.”
