One Mets rival had a busy Wednesday night.

The Braves signed closer Raisel Iglesias to a one-year, $16 million contract, and one hour later, acquired utilityman Mauricio Dubon in a trade with the Astros, the team announced.

Atlanta sent infielder Nick Allen to Houston to complete the swap.

Iglesias, 35, had spent the last three and a half seasons in Atlanta and provided the Braves with consistency back-end relief pitching.

The right-hander has a 2.35 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with 239 strikeouts and 97 saves across 222 appearances since an August 2022 trade from the Angels. He had a 3.21 ERA and 29 saves in 2025.

Iglesias was considered one of the best relievers to hit free agency this year, and in bringing him back, the Braves shored up their bullpen.

Dubon is coming off a season in Houston in which he captured his second career Gold Glove award, becoming the second American Leaguer to take the utilityman honor.

At the plate, he hit .241/.289/.355 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs.

Allen had a .535 OPS in 135 games for the Braves last year, mostly playing shortstop.

The Braves are hoping to recapture some magic after they finished in fourth place in the NL East with a 76-86 record and snapped a streak of seven straight years of making the postseason.

They will have a new face in the dugout this coming season, with Walt Weiss taking over as manager after veteran skipper Brian Snitker announced he would not be returning.
