A body was found in the sea off a small coastal town in England amid the search for the longtime partner of Mick Jagger’s granddaughter, according to authorities.

Police officers and coast guard officials were called after the body was discovered in the waters at Bude, near Cornwall, on Saturday evening, the Devon & Cornwall Police Department said in a statement.

While the remains have not been formally identified, authorities believe the deceased person is 37-year-old Alexander Key, the partner of Jagger’s granddaughter, Assisi Jackson, police said.

Jackson’s mother is British jewelry designer Jade Jagger, the daughter of the 82-year-old Rolling Stones’ frontman.

“Mr Key’s family has thanked police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, along with all those who assisted in the search for him. They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time,” cops wrote in a statement.

Police are not treating Key’s death as suspicious at this time, officials said.

Key, a chef who shares two children with Jackson, 33, was last seen on Jan. 23 at the Cobweb Inn, a pub in Boscastle, around 2:30 p.m. local time.

Surveillance footage images captured Key appearing to sit by himself at the bar as other patrons congregated nearby.

He was then seen leaving the pub alone about an hour later, walking with his hands in his pockets.

Key was dressed in a red patterned jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers, while sporting long, platinum-blond hair.

Additional CCTV images captured him at 3:25 p.m. on Jan. 24 walking past the Wellington Pub, in the direction of Boscastle Harbour towards the River Valency, police said on Tuesday.

The two photos showed Key wearing the same red-patterned jacket beneath a blue anorak, with the hood over his head, light-colored pants and black sneakers.

In a plea for help, Jade Jagger, 54, posted information on Instagram from the police department’s first memo about Key.

“Alexander is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of medium build with bright peroxide blonde hair and normally wearing bright coloured clothing,” the police department said at the time.
