Billy Ray Cyrus’ surprise romance with Elizabeth Hurley kickstarted after he had reached out to her during the demise of his short-lived marriage to Firerose, according to a report.

The “Achy Breaky Heart” crooner, 63, debuted his new relationship with Hurley, 59, on Easter Sunday with a PDA-packed snap of the pair on a farm.

The duo’s new romance comes after Cyrus finalized his bitter divorce from ex Firerose in August 2024 — something Hurley had reportedly guided him through, The Sun reports.

“There has always been a spark, but he reached out again last year when his short-lived third marriage ended. He has had a really hard time, but she has been there helping him turn things around,” a source told the outlet.

“Liz has been really great for him, but her friends are cautious because of what’s been said in the past about him. She insists he has turned a corner and is a changed man.”

The “Gossip Girl” alum is said to have been helping the country crooner by urging him to reach out to his estranged children to fix their broken relationship.

Billy Ray and his daughters, Miley and Noah, have not been on speaking terms in recent years. His sons have also had a strained relationship with him, with Trace Cyrus even issuing a dramatic plea over his famous father’s wellbeing.

The “Words by Heart” singer shares kids Brandi, 37, Trace, 36, Miley, 32, Braison, 30, and Noah, 25, with ex Tish Cyrus, 57. (He adopted Brandi and Trace, Tish’s kids from a past relationship, after marrying Tish.)

He also shares son Christopher, 33, with ex Kristin Luckey.

Hurley, for her part, shares a close bond with her son, Damien Hurley, whom she shared with late producer Steve Bing.

Damien, 23, this week gave his stamp of approval to his mom’s new romance.

“Liz has been encouraging [Billy Ray] to mend his fractured relationship with his daughter Miley, as well as his other children. Her closeness with Damian is inspiring,” a source added.

The Post has reached out to Cyrus and Hurley’s reps for comment.
