Ultra Right Beer — the “100% woke-free” beverage brand launched after Bud Light’s disastrous tie-up with Dylan Mulvaney — claims it raked in $500,000 in the 12 hours following its release of a beer can that bears former President Donald Trump’s mugshot.
Founder Seth Weathers told Fox Business that he “knew people would go wild over these collector cans, but we had no idea the response would be this crazy.”
Weathers, better known online as “Conservative Dad,” predicts that sales of the Trump-themed beer can top $2 million by the time it goes off the market at midnight on Sunday, according to Fox.
“Sales have poured in from the moment we launched,” Weathers added of the can, dubbed “Conservative Dad’s Revenge,” which features a black-and-white version of Trump’s viral booking photo on the outside and Ultra Right’s signature golden lager on the inside.
Ultra Right touts the brew as “100% American Beer,” that “will become the most collectible beer can in American history,” on its website, where the beer is being sold in packs of six for $25.
Ten percent of the sales from the beer will be donated to the legal defense of the Georgia Republican Party and the David Shafer Legal Defense Fund.
“Each sale defends conservatives against the unconstitutional prosecution by the communist Fulton County District Attorney,” Ultra Right added of Fani Willis, who’s prosecuting the election interference case against Trump.
Representatives for Ultra Right Beer did not immediately respond to noti.group’s request for comment.
Trump’s mugshot went viral last month shortly after the photo taken at an Atlanta jail was released to the public — and Weathers quickly cashed in on the booking photo by plastering it on the side of a limited-edition beer can and quickly earning half a million dollars in sales in 12 hours.
Twelve seems to be Ultra Right Beer’s lucky number: Just 12 days after launching the company in mid-April, the beer brand gained more than 10,000 customers, sold 20,000 six-packs, and was on course to break $1 million in sales.
Ultra Right’s success came on the heels of Bud Light’s demise after the once-bestselling brewer tapped Mulvaney in an ad, which prompted detractors to call for a boycott against Bud and its parent company, Anheuser-Busch.
The beer, which goes for a whopping $19.99 a pack, is advertised as a beverage for people who “know which restroom to use.”
Weathers wasn’t the only one to cash in on Trump’s mugshot.
The 2024 presidential candidate’s own campaign released a line of mugshot-inspired gear last month that included $34 T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts donning the 77-year-old’s booking photo, as well as $24 coffee mugs and $15 beer Koozies.
The tagline under the mugshot on the official MAGA gear states “NEVER SURRENDER!” in all caps, despite the fact that Trump did in fact surrender on Aug. 24 before he was released on a $200,000 bond.
As of Thursday, Trump’s mugshot-inspired merchandise is still available on his campaign website.
