There’s one thing Antonio Brown won’t be doing after being extradited to the U.S. from Dubai.

“Handed over the keys to the socials and CTESPN to my team while I go through this fight for my innocence,” the embattled former NFL star wrote on X on Thursday, adding “#FREEAB”

The 37-year-old was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Dubai on Thursday and flown to New Jersey, where he awaits extradition to Miami.

The ex-Steelers wide receiver, last seen running off the field as a member of the Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium mid-game against the Jets in 2021, is accused of grabbing a gun from a security officer and after a May 16 celebrity boxing match and firing at Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, a man he’d been in a fight with.

Nantambu told authorities a bullet grazed his neck.

The next day, he posted an explanation to his X account, which has 2.5 million followers and often posts attacks on athletes, politicians, public figures and people he deems “Cracker of the Day.”

“I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me,” he wrote. “Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED. I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me.”

He faces a maximum 15-year prison sentence and up to a $10,000 fine if convicted on the second-degree murder charge.

Over his 12-year NFL career, Brown posted 928 receptions for 12,291 yards and 83 touchdowns, though in later years, he often made headlines for off-the-field issues.

He’s faced multiple lawsuits over the years, including a 2019 incident for throwing furniture out of a 14th-floor window. In 2020, he pled no contest to felony battery and burglary after an incident with a truck driver. Brown has also been accused by multiple woman of sexual assault and domestic violence.

In 2023, he claimed to be suffering from CTE, a neurodegenerative disease that can cause behavioral issues, but has yet to be diagnosed in a living person.
