The Mets won’t have to look far to find two of their former coaches next season.
Jeremy Hefner and Antoan Richardson will remain in the NL East after the Braves announced the hiring of both Wednesday, as pitching coach and first base coach.
Hefner departed last month as part of a coaching staff shake-up following the team’s second-half nosedive that left the Mets short of the postseason.
Officially, Hefner’s 2026 option was declined.
