Good for Aaron Glenn.

Good for the Jets coach for not being stubborn about sticking with Justin Fields and for making the move Monday to Tyrod Taylor for this week’s game against the Ravens. This has been a move that’s been coming for weeks, and it finally happened Monday.

It has felt inevitable since the loss to the Broncos in London, where the Jets had minus-10 net passing yards, the worst mark in franchise history. Glenn bristled after the game at the suggestion of benching Fields, but he knew. He showed that a week later when he benched him at halftime against the Panthers.

Glenn likely would have sat Fields the following week against the Bengals, but Taylor had a knee injury and was unable to play that week. Fields played his best game of the season in Cincinnati, so Glenn had to stick by Fields against the Browns when he again played poorly. The Jets had just three days to prepare for the Patriots last week, which basically prevented even thinking about changing quarterbacks.
