NEW YORK – The Yankees will be playing a second doubleheader in four days.
Following Sunday’s twinbill against the Dodgers, the Yankees will play two on Wednesday against the Pirates in The Bronx after Tuesday’s game was rained out.
Wednesday’s matinee has been moved up from 1:35 p.m. to 1:05 p.m., and the nightcap is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
If the Yankees stay on turn, Will Warren and Gerrit Cole would take the ball.
It is also possible the Yankees bring Elmer Rodriguez back up as the 27th man.
Rodriguez was summoned Sunday but did not pitch, the Yankees using a bullpen game instead.
The righty prospect has not pitched since July 10.
