Two of the World Cup’s top four scorers will face off in today’s Norway vs. England quarterfinal match with a ticket to the semifinals on the line.
Both Harry Kane for England and Erling Haaland for Norway have had a massive impact on their teams’ World Cup campaigns. Haaland currently has seven goals in four appearances (he was benched in the final game of group play), while Kane has six clutch goals of his own in five matches.
Both strikers were the difference-makers in their respective Round of 16 matches.
Kane converted a penalty to score England’s third goal against Mexico on July 5; it turned out to be the game-winner. Jude Bellingham also contributed two goals in the 3-2 victory.
Norway scored twice in its quarterfinal victory over Brazil and both goals came from Haaland in the second half.
