A controversial figure makes his return to UFC tonight.
UFC 329 will go down in Las Vegas and the main event is a rematch of an August 2013 bout between Max Holloway and Conor McGregor.
It marks McGregor’s first UFC match in five years; he last fought in a July 2021 fight where he broke his leg.
Since then, McGregor received an 18-month suspension for three separate violations of the UFC’s anti-doping policy. The suspension was announced in October 2025, but backdated and expired in March 2026 paving the way for his return.
UFC 329: what to know
- When: July 11, 5 p.m. ET (early prelims)

The return also comes 18 months after McGregor lost a civil case and was ordered to pay damages to Nikita Hand, who accused McGregor of rape in a Dublin hotel room in 2018. McGregor maintains his innocence, but his request for an appeal was dismissed.
Last time McGregor and Holloway met, McGregor won via unanimous decision.
