Despite some travel issues on the Red Sox’s end, there will be a ballgame in Queens tonight.
The Mets vs. Red Sox game will go on as scheduled despite plane issues that left the Red Sox stuck in Chicago since last night. The team took off shortly before 3 p.m. ET and are scheduled to land just before 5 p.m. ET at LaGuardia Airport, minutes away from Citi Field.
The Red Sox head to Queens with incredible momentum; they spent last weekend sweeping a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels before a three-game sweep of the White Sox.
The Mets have some good momentum as well. After splitting a four-game series with the Atlanta Braves over the holiday weekend, they won two of three in Kansas City.
